A direct-fit roof rail weatherstrip seal kit for 1962-1965 Chevrolet Chevy II (left and right pair). These precision-molded rubber seals restore the original barrier between the roof rail and door/window openings to prevent water intrusion, reduce wind noise, and protect interior trim and headliner from damage. Built to match factory profiles, the seals provide a durable, reliable replacement that simplifies restoration and improves long-term weather resistance and cabin comfort.
Features:
  • Fitment: 1962-1965 Chevrolet Chevy II — left and right hand seals, sold as a pair.
  • Manufactured from durable EPDM-style rubber for long-lasting weather resistance and UV stability.
  • Restores proper sealing at the roof rail to prevent water leaks and reduce wind noise.
  • Exact-profile replacement for OEM fit and alignment with existing roof and door trim.
  • Easy to install with common hand tools and weatherstrip adhesive; ideal for restorations and maintenance.
  • Helps protect headliner and interior trim by keeping out moisture, dust, and road contaminants.
Installation / Application:
  • Difficulty: 2/5
  • Estimated time: 45-90 minutes
Suggested Tools:
  • Flat and Phillips screwdrivers
  • Trim removal tool or plastic pry tool
  • Weatherstrip adhesive (automotive-grade)
  • Rubbing alcohol or adhesive remover
  • Clean rags
  • Masking tape or spring clamps
  • Utility knife or scissors
  • Gloves
Instructions:
  1. Park vehicle on a level surface and open doors to access roof rail areas. Work one side at a time.
  2. Carefully remove any trim pieces or clips that retain the old weatherstrip using trim tools and screwdrivers; save reusable clips.
  3. Pull out the old weatherstrip. If it's glued, use a putty knife and adhesive remover to lift and scrape away old adhesive residue.
  4. Thoroughly clean the mounting surface with rubbing alcohol or designated cleaner until all dirt and old adhesive are removed and surface is dry.
  5. Test-fit the new weatherstrip along the roof rail to ensure proper orientation (left vs. right) and trimming needs.
  6. Apply a thin, even bead of automotive weatherstrip adhesive to the roof rail or to the new seal per adhesive manufacturer instructions.
  7. Position the new weatherstrip into place, pressing firmly along the length to seat the profile into the channel or flange. Use masking tape or spring clamps to hold sections while adhesive sets.
  8. Trim any excess material at the ends with a utility knife for a clean finish. Reinstall any trim pieces or clips removed earlier.
  9. Allow adhesive to cure fully per the adhesive instructions before driving or exposing to moisture (typically 1–24 hours).
