Instructions:
- Park vehicle on a level surface, set parking brake, and protect painted surfaces with masking tape.
- Carefully remove the old moulding: detach any screws or clips and use a trim tool to pry the moulding away from the windshield flange without damaging paint or glass.
- Clean the windshield pinch-weld and flange thoroughly with isopropyl alcohol to remove old adhesive, debris, and corrosion.
- Inspect the windshield seal and flange for damage; repair or reseal the glass if necessary before fitting new moulding.
- Position any new clips or retainers onto the moulding or flange per factory orientation.
- Align the new moulding to the windshield edge, starting at one corner and working around the perimeter to ensure even engagement.
- Gently tap the moulding into place with a rubber mallet where needed, taking care not to overstress corners or bend the trim.
- Reinstall any screws, retainers, or exterior trim pieces removed earlier and verify even fitment and gap consistency.
- Check for proper sealing by running a small bead of water around the windshield and inspecting for leaks; adjust if necessary.
- Clean the installed moulding and surrounding trim, then allow any sealants or adhesives to cure per manufacturer instructions before driving.
