Front chrome armrest bases designed for 1962–1967 GM passenger cars. These polished chrome bases provide a durable mounting point to secure front armrests to the door, restoring original fit and finish while preventing looseness and reducing vibration. Built for corrosion resistance and long-term reliability, they are an ideal replacement for worn, pitted, or missing armrest hardware and help bring classic interiors back to showroom condition with a simple, bolt-on installation.

Installation / Application:
- Difficulty: 2/5
- Estimated time: 20-45 minutes
Instructions:
- Park vehicle on a level surface and roll the window up to give access to the armrest area.
- Remove the armrest pad or cover: locate and remove visible screws or fasteners securing the pad. Use a trim tool to gently pry any clips if present.
- Support the armrest while removing all mounting screws so it does not drop when detached from the door.
- Remove the old armrest base: unscrew or unbolt the base from the door panel and lift it away. Retain any reusable fasteners if they are in good condition.
- Clean the mounting area on the door to remove dirt, old adhesive, or corrosion. Wipe dry with a clean cloth.
- Position the new chrome base against the door in the original location, aligning holes and ensuring proper orientation.
- Install fasteners and hand-tighten each screw or bolt to hold the base in place. Then snug them evenly with a ratchet—avoid over-tightening to prevent damage to the door panel.
- Reinstall the armrest pad/cover and secure all screws or clips. Confirm the armrest is firmly mounted and does not bind.
- Operate the door and test for any vibration or looseness. Re-torque fasteners if needed after a short test drive.
