This convertible door alignment wedge set is an OEM-style replacement designed for 1963 Chevrolet Nova convertible models and 1966 Buick Skylark convertibles, providing a factory-correct solution for proper door fit and alignment. These wedges install in the original door jamb locations and are used to set correct door spacing, compensate for body flex common to convertible platforms, and help prevent door sag, rattles, or misalignment. Ideal for classic restoration and body alignment work, this set replaces worn, missing, or deteriorated original wedges to restore proper door closure and factory-correct panel alignment on applicable GM convertible models.
Here is an item most convertibles are missing or were painted over during restoration. These wedges fit into the upper door jamb and contact each other when the door is closed. Each die cast and ABS plastic piece add strength and support to the car's body from flexing. Very small parts but very important! Fits convertible. Original GM part # 4843705.

Auto Metal Direct is a team of true car guys with years of experience in sheet metal reproduction, car restoration and paint/body work. We believe that quality is not subjective! Our mission is to provide the best customer experience for the Ford, Mopar and GM classic car markets - both in products and in service.
Our panels are made from proper gauge steel and include all correct-as-original clips, tabs, flanges, bends and seams. Each time a prototype body panel comes off of a new tooling, we test fit it on a car. The marked up prototype is then used to change and improve the tools, and a new prototype is produced. This procedure might be repeated multiple times but, once the part is finally approved, you can be assured of a quality part.
