Installation / Application:
- Difficulty: 2/5
- Estimated time: 30-60 minutes
Instructions:
- Park vehicle on a level surface, engage parking brake, and disconnect battery if working near electrical components.
- If necessary for access, raise and support the vehicle with jack stands and remove the bumper per vehicle-specific service manual.
- Remove existing bumper guards or trim pieces and retain any reusable hardware. Clean mounting surfaces of dirt, rust, and old adhesive.
- Test-fit the new guards on the bumper to verify alignment and fitment. Mark mounting hole locations if drilling or aligning is required.
- Attach each guard using the supplied hardware. Hand-start all fasteners to ensure proper alignment before tightening.
- Tighten fasteners to the vehicle manufacturer's recommended torque specification or snugly if no spec is available. Avoid over-tightening to prevent deformation.
- Reinstall the bumper if it was removed and verify gaps and alignment. Check that rubber cushions contact the bumper correctly and that guards sit flush.
- Lower the vehicle (if raised), perform a final inspection, and test for secure fitment. Re-torque fasteners after a short initial use period if desired.
