Windshield Weatherstrip Seal WCR D621 for 1962–1967 Chevrolet Chevy II Sedan and Wagon restores a watertight, vibration-damping seal between the windshield glass and body. Designed with a trim groove to accept the original steel windshield molding, this durable rubber seal replaces worn original weatherstrips to prevent leaks, reduce wind noise, protect interior trim, and restore factory appearance. Engineered for long-term resistance to ozone, UV and temperature cycling, it provides a reliable, OEM-style fit for classic Chevy II restorations and maintenance.

- Prevents water intrusion and reduces wind noise while cushioning the windshield.
- Direct replacement for worn or cracked originals — ideal for restorations.
- Designed for straightforward installation with basic hand tools.
Installation / Application:
- Difficulty: 3/5
- Estimated time: 60–90 minutes (may vary with vehicle condition and if reusing glass)
Instructions:
- Park vehicle on a level surface, disconnect battery if needed, and remove windshield trim molding and any retaining clips using trim tools and screwdrivers.
- Carefully remove the old weatherstrip; if windshield removal is required, follow safe glass removal procedures or consult a professional.
- Clean the channel and surrounding pinch weld thoroughly with solvent or isopropyl alcohol to remove old adhesive, dirt, and grease. Allow to dry.
- Test-fit the new WCR D621 weatherstrip around the windshield opening to confirm orientation and fit. Trim excess if necessary using a utility knife.
- If recommended for your application, apply a thin bead of weatherstrip adhesive to the channel or to the inside lip of the weatherstrip per adhesive instructions.
- Lubricate the sealing surfaces with soapy water or a wet lubricant to ease installation and position the weatherstrip into the channel starting at the top center and working toward the corners.
- Seat the weatherstrip fully into the channel by hand, using a rubber mallet and a block or a plastic tool to gently tap it into place without pinching or stretching the rubber.
- Reinstall the steel windshield molding into the seal’s trim groove, ensuring the molding seats evenly along the entire perimeter. Use masking tape to hold sections in place while adhesive cures if applied.
- Trim any excess weatherstrip material, reinstall remaining trim and hardware, and allow adhesive to cure per manufacturer instructions before driving.
- Inspect seal for gaps and test for leaks after installation by gently spraying water around the windshield; retighten or reseat as necessary.
