Instructions:
- Remove any interior door panels or trim pieces that obstruct access to the old weatherstrip.
- Carefully pry out the old seal; remove any old adhesive, clips or gasket material from the door channel.
- Clean the sealing surface and channel thoroughly with rubbing alcohol or a suitable degreaser; allow to dry.
- Test-fit the new weatherstrip along the door edge to confirm orientation and length; trim excess if necessary.
- Apply a thin, even coat of weatherstrip cement to the channel or mating surface following the adhesive manufacturer’s instructions.
- Starting at one end, press the new seal firmly into the channel, aligning the profile so it mates evenly with the door when closed.
- Reinstall any trim or panels removed and close the door to check for proper fit and clearance; make minor adjustments if needed.
- Allow adhesive to cure per product instructions (typically 24 hours) before exposing to moisture or heavy use.
