A 14-piece nylon windshield molding clip set designed for 1975–1990 GM cars. These OEM-style clips secure the windshield molding in place, preventing wind noise, water intrusion, and trim movement. Made from durable, corrosion-resistant nylon, the set restores proper fitment and function to aged or missing clips for reliable long-term performance. Easy to install, this kit is ideal for restoration projects and routine trim replacement.
Features:
  • Fits 1975–1990 GM cars (select models; confirm fitment for your vehicle).
  • 14-piece kit provides all clips needed for typical windshield molding replacement.
  • Durable, corrosion-resistant nylon construction resists weathering and breakdown.
  • Secures windshield molding to prevent leaks, vibration, and wind noise.
  • OEM-style design restores correct trim alignment and factory appearance.
  • Simple, cost-effective replacement for worn or missing clips during restoration.
Installation / Application:
  • Difficulty: 2/5
  • Estimated time: 30-60 minutes
Suggested Tools:
  • Plastic trim removal tool or flathead screwdriver (protected with tape)
  • Needle-nose pliers
  • Shop towels or rags
  • Isopropyl alcohol or adhesive cleaner
  • Silicone spray or lubricant
  • Rubber mallet (optional)
Instructions:
  1. Park vehicle on a level surface, allow work area to dry, and protect surrounding trim with tape or rags.
  2. Carefully pry away the windshield molding using a plastic trim tool or protected flathead to avoid scratching paint or glass.
  3. Remove remaining old clips from the molding and vehicle channel. Use pliers if clips are stuck; heat or penetrating spray can help loosen corroded clips.
  4. Clean the molding channel and mounting surface with isopropyl alcohol to remove dirt, old adhesive, and debris. Allow to dry.
  5. Position new nylon clips on the molding or into the channel according to original clip locations. Some clips push onto the molding lip, others snap into the channel—orient as required for your vehicle.
  6. Seat the molding back into place, engaging each clip by pressing firmly along the molding. Use a rubber mallet or protected block if gentle tapping is needed to fully seat clips.
  7. Inspect the fit for gaps or loose areas and reinstall any trim pieces removed during disassembly. Wipe away fingerprints and allow any lubricant to dissipate before driving.
  8. Test for proper sealing by checking for movement and, if possible, a light water test to ensure there are no leaks.
