The Precision License Plate Bumper BMP 001 is a compact, durable bumper designed to protect vehicle paint and finish where license plates contact the fascia. Engineered for universal license-plate mounting applications, it creates a small gap to prevent scratching, reduce vibration and rattling, and extend the life of mounting hardware. Made from weather- and UV-resistant materials, the BMP 001 provides a long-lasting, low-profile solution for restoring or upgrading plate mounts on most vehicles with standard plate holes.

Installation / Application:
  • Difficulty: 1/5
  • Estimated time: 5-15 minutes
Suggested Tools:
  • Phillips screwdriver (or appropriate screw driver for your plate hardware)
  • Clean cloth and mild cleaner
  • Optional: small flathead screwdriver or plastic pry tool
Instructions:
  1. Clean the vehicle mounting area and license plate with a cloth and mild cleaner; dry completely.
  2. Remove the license plate by unscrewing the mounting screws and set the screws aside.
  3. Position the BMP 001 bumpers over the vehicle’s license plate mounting holes or studs so the bumper face contacts the vehicle surface.
  4. Align the license plate over the installed bumpers and reinstall the mounting screws through the plate and into the vehicle/studs.
  5. Tighten screws evenly until the plate is secure; avoid over-tightening to prevent compressing the bumper or damaging the finish.
  6. Check plate alignment and ensure there is an even gap between plate and vehicle; re-tighten if necessary.
