Instructions:
- Park vehicle on level ground and protect the work area with towels or masking tape.
- Carefully remove the old roof rail weatherstrip: pry clips or adhesive away using a trim tool and remove any retaining hardware.
- Clean the mounting surface thoroughly with rubbing alcohol or automotive cleaner to remove old adhesive, dirt, and grease; allow to dry.
- Test-fit the new weatherstrip along the roof rail to verify orientation (left/driver side) and alignment; trim excess if necessary.
- If adhesive is recommended, apply a continuous thin bead of appropriate automotive weatherstrip adhesive to the mounting flange per adhesive instructions.
- Starting at one end, press the new weatherstrip into place along the roof rail, aligning the profile and seating any clips or edges into their channels; use a rubber mallet or firm hand pressure to ensure full contact.
- Secure ends with masking tape while adhesive cures if used; remove any excess adhesive promptly with a clean cloth and cleaner.
- Allow adhesive to cure as directed (if used), then inspect the seal for gaps and test for proper door/window operation.
