Installation / Application:
- Difficulty: 2/5
- Estimated time: 60–120 minutes
Instructions:
- Park vehicle on level ground, roll windows fully up, and disconnect the negative battery terminal if removing powered components.
- Carefully remove the old beltline moldings: use a trim tool to pry clips or unscrew any fasteners, saving factory clips and screws if reusable.
- Clean the beltline and mounting surface with wax & grease remover; remove old adhesive residue and rust to ensure a flush fit.
- Test-fit each new molding piece to confirm orientation and alignment before final installation.
- If clips are supplied or factory clips are to be reused, align the molding over the beltline and engage clips firmly into the door panel openings; use a rubber mallet wrapped in cloth for even seating if needed.
- If the molding uses fasteners, install and hand-tighten screws or nuts, then torque to factory specification if available.
- Check gaps and alignment along the door edge and window channel; make minor adjustments before fully tightening.
- Wipe down the installed moldings, cycle the window to ensure smooth operation, and reassemble any trim removed during the process.
