Front end bushing kit engineered for 1967–1974 Camaro, Firebird, Nova, Omega, Ventura and Apollo models to replace worn suspension bushings and restore proper steering geometry. The kit supplies precision-molded polyurethane elastomer bushings and corrosion-resistant steel sleeves to secure control arms, idler/pitman components and stabilizer links. Renewing these bushings reduces steering play, quiets vibration, improves handling response and extends the life of front suspension components—an ideal upgrade for restorations and performance refreshes. Components are durable, reliable and designed for straightforward installation with common shop tools.
Features:
  • Fitment: 1967–1974 Camaro, Firebird, Nova, Omega, Ventura and Apollo (front end suspension)
  • High-quality rubber bushings with plated steel sleeves for corrosion resistance
  • Replaces worn or collapsed factory bushings to restore steering precision and reduce play
  • Improves handling, reduces vibration and extends component life for restored or daily-driven vehicles
  • Designed for a direct-replacement installation using common shop tools and a hydraulic press or bushing driver
Installation / Application:
  • Difficulty: 3/5
  • Estimated time: 2–3 hours
Suggested Tools:
  • Floor jack and jack stands
  • Wheel chocks
  • Socket and wrench set
  • Breaker bar
  • Torque wrench
  • Hydraulic press or bushing driver/press kit
  • Penetrating oil
  • Pry bar
  • Rubber mallet
  • Grease or recommended bushing lubricant
Instructions:
  1. Safely lift the vehicle and support it on jack stands; chock the rear wheels.
  2. Remove the front wheels to access control arms, idler/pitman assemblies and stabilizer components.
  3. Mark the position of any adjustable components to preserve alignment reference, then disconnect any sway bar links, control arm bolts, and related fasteners as needed to access bushings.
  4. Apply penetrating oil to fasteners and press out old bushings using a hydraulic press or appropriate bushing driver; take care not to damage control arm bores.
  5. Clean and degrease the bushing bores and inspect parts for wear or damage; replace any damaged hardware as needed.
  6. Install new bushings and steel sleeves per kit orientation, using a press or driver to seat them squarely; apply supplied or recommended lubricant where specified.
  7. Reassemble components, reinstall fasteners and torque all hardware to factory specifications.
  8. Lower the vehicle and perform a test drive; have a professional alignment performed if steering geometry was altered during disassembly.
