A direct-fit vertical glass run channel engineered for 1962–1967 Chevrolet Chevy II doors, available for left or right hand application (GRB 1221 62). This channel guides and seals the door glass as it moves, preventing wind noise, water intrusion and premature glass wear while restoring correct window alignment. Constructed from durable rubber with a corrosion-resistant backing, it delivers reliable, long-lasting performance and straightforward installation for restoration and maintenance projects.
Features:
- Fits 1962–1967 Chevrolet Chevy II (left or right hand application, GRB 1221 62).
- High-quality rubber profile with corrosion-resistant metal retainer for long service life.
- Guides and seals vertical edge of the door glass to reduce wind noise and water leaks.
- Helps maintain correct window alignment and smooth up/down operation.
- Ideal for restoration or replacement; improves door sealing and cabin comfort.
- Designed for straightforward installation using common hand tools.
Installation / Application:
- Difficulty: 2/5
- Estimated time: 30–60 minutes per door
Instructions:
- Lower the window glass to a position that allows access to the vertical channel area, or position so the lower glass edge is accessible.
- Remove the door panel and any trim or moisture barrier as needed to reach the channel retaining area and the top/bottom channel mounting points.
- Carefully peel out the old vertical glass run channel and clean the channel mounting area of old adhesive, dirt and corrosion. Wipe with a rag and mild solvent; allow to dry.
- If applicable, loosen or remove any retaining screws, clips or rollers that hold the old metal retainer in place.
- Align the new vertical glass run channel (ensure correct left/right orientation) and insert the top end into the door pocket first, seating the metal retainer into the channel track.
- Work the channel into position down the length of the glass run, ensuring the rubber bead engages the door frame lip and the metal retainer seats securely.
- If clips or screws were removed, reinstall and tighten them to secure the retainer. Reinstall any rollers or guides you removed.
- Apply a small amount of silicone spray or window lubricant to the interior of the new channel to ensure smooth glass travel.
- Cycle the window up and down several times to check for proper alignment and smooth operation; make any minor adjustments as needed.
- Reinstall the door panel, trim and moisture barrier; verify final operation and sealing against wind and water.
