This two-piece Glass Run Channel Kit is engineered to restore proper window alignment, sealing and smooth operation on 1973-1974 Chevrolet Nova doors. Supplied as left and right hand channels (2-piece set, GRK 1210 73), the replacement runs guide and cushion the door glass, reduce wind noise and prevent water intrusion and rattles. Durable rubber with a supportive channel backing ensures long service life and reliable fitment — an essential restoration and replacement part for Nova owners looking to return doors to factory functionality.
Features:
- Fits 1973-1974 Chevrolet Nova — left and right hand, 2-piece kit (GRK 1210 73).
- Durable rubber channel with supportive backing provides consistent glass guidance and seating.
- Seals against wind and water to reduce noise, leaks and glass vibration.
- Direct replacement for worn or damaged factory channels to restore window operation.
- Easy to install with basic hand tools; ideal for restoration or maintenance projects.
Installation / Application:
- Difficulty: 2/5
- Estimated time: Approximately 1–2 hours (both sides)
Instructions:
- Lower the window glass to a position that allows access to the channel area.
- Remove the interior door panel and any moisture shields to expose the channel (keep fasteners organized).
- Carefully tape and support the glass in an accessible position to prevent falling or chipping.
- Remove the old glass run channel by pulling the rubber flange out of the door frame; trim adhesive or rusted metal as needed with a utility knife or pliers.
- Clean the channel seating area thoroughly with rubbing alcohol, removing old adhesive and debris.
- Spray a light coat of silicone lubricant on the new channel lip and on the glass edge to ease installation.
- Seat the new channel into the door frame starting at one end and working along its length, ensuring the rubber flange fully engages the metal channel.
- Reposition the glass into the new run channel and cycle the window slowly to confirm smooth travel and correct seating.
- Trim any excess material and reattach moisture barrier and door panel. Test the window operation several times and check for wind noise or leaks.
