A direct-fit hood-to-fender bumper designed for 2-door coupe applications (BMP 011). This bumper cushions the hood at the fender stop, helping maintain proper hood alignment, reduce vibration and rattles, and protect paint and sheetmetal from impact wear. Made to restore OEM-style fit and function, it provides a durable, resilient contact surface that withstands repeated opening and closing while keeping hood gaps consistent and improving overall vehicle finish and feel.
Features:
- Fits 2-door coupe applications (BMP 011) — direct-fit hood/fender bumper.
- Durable rubber/urethane compound resists compression set and weathering.
- Absorbs impact to prevent paint chipping and metal damage at hood/fender contact points.
- Helps maintain proper hood alignment and reduces vibration and rattling while driving.
- Easy replacement part for restoration or routine maintenance to restore factory fit and finish.
Installation / Application:
- Difficulty: 2/5
- Estimated time: 15-30 minutes
Instructions:
- Open the hood and locate the existing hood/fender bumper on the fender stop.
- If present, remove the old bumper by prying gently with a flat-head screwdriver or trim tool; retain any mounting clip or fastener if reusable.
- Clean the mounting area with isopropyl alcohol and a cloth to remove dirt, grease, and old adhesive residue.
- If the new bumper uses a push-in stem, align the stem with the hole and press firmly until it snaps into place. If the bumper uses an adhesive base, remove the backing, position the bumper, and press firmly for 30 seconds.
- Close the hood slowly to check alignment and contact. Reopen and make minor position adjustments if necessary.
- Test by opening and closing the hood several times and drive briefly to confirm reduced vibration and proper fit. Re-torque or secure any retained fasteners if used.
